It took a while, but we finally got to see some well played College Basketball games. Louisville- They looked flat or hungover in Sunday’s loss to Michigan State. Head Coach Tom Izzo out -coached Pitino and showed why he is one of the best in the business. Michigan St/Kansas on Friday was as well- played and well-coached as any game that I can remember. In Louisville’s blowout of AZ on Friday Night, G Sosa was blowing kisses to the TV camera, and Louisville players were dancing and mucking it up, and in reality, Louisville hadn’t won anything yet. U CONN/Missouri I still feel my play on the Under was the right play and thought I had a winner with 8 minutes to go , and then with about 2 minutes left, it turned into a loser. Villanova/Pitt- A great game, well played by both teams, and the winner was in doubt to the very end. North Carolina/OK- It was nice to see NC players finally give an effort on the defensive end. Oklahoma- Everything they put up Friday vs Syracuse went in, and then OK couldn’t buy a bucket Sunday. Rants & Raves & Questions Rick Pitino- I have a buddy of mine (Joe) who is a Louisville Booster and can’t stand Pitino, he tells me there are a lot of others that feel the same way in Louisville, it wouldn’t suprise me to see Pitino go to another school. Gus Johnson- I think he is one of the best Play by Play men on TV today. Magic Johnson- He always tells us how much his family means to him, yet everytime the TV camera shows him at a sporting event, Magic is by himself. How come Magic never takes one of his kids to a game ? U Conn Head Coach Jim Calhoun- Everybody knows this guy is an asshole, but he will play up the Media this week and act like Father Flanagan, and then if they lose throw his players under the bus.
