Notes For College Football Week 1A/

I'll start out by stating, that although we are barely through the first week of NCAA football, I'm already sick and tired of ESPN analyst Lou Holtz. I will call last weekend's NCAA only football card week 1A and next week will be NFL & NCAA week 1.

California Sophomore RB Best highly recruited and can play. There shouldn't be a QB controversy; Riley should be the starting QB for the Bears. QB Longshore had two drives and 2 int's.

Michigan st Played undisciplined football and QB Hoyer can manage a game, but struggles to make plays when behind in the score.

Virginia Tech Is it ironic that the Hokies LOST on a blocked punt ? Remember the Hokies also played sluggish at the start of last season

Clemson o yds rushing vs Alabama. Clemson has top RB's, but without an OL it didn't matter.

Alabama Before the media gives Saban and Alabama the SEC title, lets remember it's only one game in Sabans second season at Bama.

Washington Tyrone Willingham won't last long as the Huskies Head Coach. This is a young team with QB Jake Locker as the only playmaker on offense. Locker took a pounding Saturday night vs Oregon.

Oregon QB Roper left game due to injury and did not return. The Ducks are loaded with athletes. Oregon players have speed !

Kentucky/Louisville What a difference a year makes, both offenses played inept. Kentucky Head coach has stated that this is the best defense he has had at Kentucky.

Tennessee/UCLA It was obvious that Tennessee had the better, faster players, but as usual Tennessee under Head Coach Fulmer plays down to their competition as a Favorite.

UCLA New offensive coordinator Norm Chow did a great job of making adjustments, and play calling in the second half.
